TRUCKEE, Calif., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Martis Camp -- a private luxury
community in North Lake Tahoe -- is pleased to announce its direct ski
connection to Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is now a reality, with completion
anticipated for the coming winter ski season.
The new Martis Camp Express, formerly Lookout Express, will be a high-
speed quad chairlift located inside Martis Camp, at the base of Northstar(R)
Resort's Lookout Mountain(R). The lift line will be increased from 2,822
lineal feet to 5,128 lineal feet, with an increase in vertical drop from 1,247
feet to 1,722 feet, and will allow skiers and riders to reach the mountain top
in a mere six minutes. This unique amenity will allow Martis Camp Club members
direct access from their homes to Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort, and create new
opportunities for all Northstar Resort skiers and riders. Martis Camp Club
members will also have access to the private Martis Camp Warming Hut located
near the base of the lift.
Three existing advanced (Black Diamond) ski trails on Lookout Mountain are
also being extended into Martis Camp: Prosser, Stampede and Martis. To the
east of these trails, a new intermediate (Blue Square) trail named Washoe has
been added, and will also terminate at the base of the Martis Camp Express
lift.
