NECA-IBEW Going Green With Renewable Energy Projects, a Feature of "Industry Today" on Industrialinfo.com

Talking on a recent ElectricTV.net (a joint program between NECA and the IBEW) video webcast, Mike Callanan, Executive Director of the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for the IBEW, stated, "We have been teaching many of these skills to our apprentices and journeymen for a number of years. I like to think that our training is unique because it provides apprentices the opportunity to understand not only the theory in the classroom, but provides up to 8,000 hours of on-the-job training."

The IBEW is currently training about 44,000 apprentices at 300 training centers in the U.S. and Canada.
