WAUSAU, Wis., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Parker has been appointed executive vice president -- Field Operations for Wausau Insurance.

Mr. Parker will report to Ms. Doyle and have oversight responsibility for all Wausau field sales and underwriting divisions. Over a 30-year career with Wausau, Mr. Parker held increasing levels of responsibility, most recently as senior vice president and division manager-Central Division, based in Downers Grove, Ill. He joined Wausau in 1977 as a field claim adjuster in Joliet, Ill.
A native of Joliet, Mr. Parker earned a bachelor's degree in public administration from Lewis University in Lockport, Ill. He also earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation and the Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designation.
