Company Renews its Compliance With Government Security Requirements BALTIMORE, June 24
BALTIMORE, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Metastorm, a leading provider of
Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), and
Enterprise Architecture (EA) software for aligning strategy with execution,
today announced that Metastorm BPM(R) has again attained the Common Criteria
Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) at Evaluation Assurance Level 2
(EAL2) through the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP).
Metastorm was the first and only pure-play BPM provider to achieve Common
Criteria Certification in 2006, validating it had met the security
requirements defined by the United States National Security Agency (NSA) in
conjunction with other international governments. Metastorm BPM version 7.5
is the latest version to pass the rigorous certification requirements.
The NIAP Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) is
managed and staffed by the NSA. It is a national program focused on the
evaluation of information technology products for conformance to the
International Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation.
The program helps consumers select IT products that meet NSA security
requirements and helps the manufacturers of those products gain acceptance in
the global marketplace.
"Achieving Common Criteria Certification on Metastorm BPM for the second
time is a significant milestone for Metastorm as it provides third-party
confirmation to customers that we continue to deliver a secure solution to
meet the rigorous security requirements of government and commercial
organizations," stated Greg Carter, Metastorm CTO and Vice President of
Development.
Metastorm continues to gain momentum as an EA, BPA and BPM vendor for
government organizations worldwide. For example, The U.S. Department of
Justice, Office of the Federal Detention Trustee created eDesignate - a
paperless case management system that supports cross-agency collaboration on
detention issues using Metastorm BPM. The system is used to manage the
prisoner designation process from the Courts, the United States Marshals
Service (USMS), and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP). More information can
