MONTREAL -- 05/14/08 --
Messaging Architects, the experts in email
lifecycle management and compliance, today announced the release of
M+Extranet 3.5. M+Extranet, formerly known as GWExtranet, is a powerful,
web publishing solution that enables organizations running Novell GroupWise
to collaborate more efficiently with both GroupWise and non-GroupWise
users, while taking advantage of the latest web 2.0-based social networking
software.
"M+Extranet truly empowers GroupWise users to benefit from web-based social
networking software to share and disseminate information directly from
their GroupWise platform," says Brian Anderson, M+Extranet developer. "With
M+Extranet, employees can share their corporate calendars, folders, address
books, publish events, and engage in interactive exchange, regardless of
the email platform of their counterparts."
Until now M+Extranet was known to clients as GWExtranet. The change in name
is consistent with Messaging Architects' holistic approach to email
lifecycle management reflected in its M+Platform. "We developed the
M+Platform as a modular and extensible framework designed to bridge email
security gaps, automate retention, ensure compliance, and track the entire
cycle of the message from the moment it enters the email system to its
end-of-life destruction. M+Extranet is the module for enhanced
collaboration that we integrated into the M+Platform," explains Ranjit
Sarai, Product Manager for M+Extranet at Messaging Architects. "The name
change was adopted to illustrate our philosophy to messaging as an
integrated platform that serves your business needs."
With M+Extranet, GroupWise users have several choices for disseminating
information quickly to a large number of people as a web page or a blog,
via a podcast or an RSS feed. This makes it an efficient and cost-effective
solution for posting up-to-the-minute content on a company intranet site, a
client extranet site, or a student portal. "M+Extranet has become a key
element in our communications strategy," confirms Andrea Gilbreath,
Technology Coordinator at Tuscaloosa City Schools.
M+Extranet supports the XML open standard to provide a high level of
customization and to ensure a consistent brand and end-user experience with
the organization's website.

M+Extranet 3.5 is now available. Current GWExtranet clients are entitled to
