recognition system (MARS), which allows users to search and discover

accurate search results even if the user sings off key, mispronounces the
lyrics or types the words to a song incorrectly.
midomi mobile also gives users the ability to search for songs by holding
their iPhones in front of a speaker playing recorded music, such as a

Once a user discovers a piece of music, midomi mobile leverages the

gives users one-stop access to a wide range of music-related content,
including photographs, biographies and complete discographies of their
favorite artists or bands.
Music Sharing and Social Networking Capabilities
midomi mobile enables users to share music information they have discovered
by sending personalized messages with links to song and artist pages that
allow recipients to hear 30-second samples. Users can also leverage the
social networking features of midomi.com, which allow them to hear and rate
other users' contributions to the midomi music database, as well as browse
their profiles, photographs, biographies, preferences and playlists. These
features make it easy for users with similar musical likes to connect with
each other -- and also help users discover new music by exploring each
other's preferences.
