WINNIPEG, MANITIOBA -- 10/28/09 --
The Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) will meet in Kingston on Thursday October 29 to discuss a range of issues including waste reduction, environmental assessments, greenhouse gas reporting, and water and air quality.
The Council is made up of environment ministers from each of the provinces, territories and the Government of Canada. The current president of CCME, the Hon. John Gerretsen, Ontario's Environment Minister, will chair the meeting, which will be held in Memorial Hall, on the second level of the Kingston City Hall, 216 Ontario Street, Kingston.
There will be a photo opportunity for members of the media at 2:45 pm. At the close of the meeting the Council will issue a communique and hold a news conference on Thursday October 29, 2009 at 3:30 pm EDT in Memorial Hall.
