NEW YORK, May 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- McKool Smith, one of the
nation's largest trial firms, is announcing the addition of two accomplished
patent lawyers, and the relocation of a firm attorney to the firm's expanding
New York office.
The firm has added Mark S. Raskin as senior counsel and Brett E. Cooper as
an associate, while firm associate Lindsay K. Martin has relocated to the New
York office.
The latest additions continue the expansion of the firm's national
practice. The New York office, which opened last year, is lead by noted
intellectual property attorney Robert A. Cote.

Mr. Raskin's practice focuses on patent litigation. He earned his law
degree, with honors, from George Washington University Law School, during
which time he interned for the Hon. Robert H. Hodges of the United States
Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C. He earned his B.A. in Biology and
Chemistry and M.A. in Biology from Washington University.
Mr. Cooper's practice also focuses on patent litigation. He earned his
law degree, cum laude, from St. John's University School of Law, and his B.S.
in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Tufts
University. He also worked as an engineer prior to law school. After law
school, he clerked for the Hon. Joanna Seybert, United States District Court
for the Eastern District of New York.
Ms. Martin moves to New York after practicing in McKool Smith's Dallas
office. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist
University's Dedman School of Law and her undergraduate degrees in Business
Honors and Finance from the University of Texas. Her experience includes
patent litigation as well as commercial litigation.
