OTTAWA, CANADA -- 11/03/09 -- Enablence Technologies Inc. ("Enablence" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ENA), a leading supplier of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) equipment for triple-play residential and business services and optical components and subsystems for access, metro and long-haul markets, announced today that McDonald County Telephone Company (MCTC) in Pineville, Missouri, has selected the Enablence MAGNM platform for its network migration.

MCTC serves 4,000 subscribers in rural Missouri. Enablence's MAGNM was chosen due to its all IP/Ethernet access network with FTTH capability, cost, and ability to meet subscriber bandwidth requirements. It will allow MCTC to migrate from ATM/TDM infrastructure to the new Enablence solution, without disruption. The company's goal is to move from its broadband copper access model to an FTTH model, making the Enablence solution a perfect fit. The entire project should help service up to 1,000 subscribers.

"McDonald County has an established relationship with Enablence as a user of its MAGNM-FX and we found Enablence's new solution the best fit for our evolving needs," said Ross Babbitt, General Manager of McDonald County. "The MAGNM-20's flexibility to scale offers the most efficient service to our customers and Enablence was able to provide the services within hours of the first installation, with no problems."

Enablence's MAGNM-20, with a pure IP/Ethernet, is the first fully distributed MSAP (multi-service access platform) with IP/Ethernet at its core that provides a near Terabit per second capacity that scales to meet, not only the current bandwidth requirements, but also future needs for bandwidth expansion.

"McDonald County's selection of Enablence products for the deployment of their services is an excellent example of how Enablence is helping connect rural America," said Arvind Chhatbar, Chief Executive Officer of Enablence. "We have been serving such communities to bring to them state-of-the-art equipment and services at an affordable cost."
