SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) today announced that it has elected two new members to its Board of Directors.
MassMutual Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Stuart H. Reese announced that Kathleen A. Corbet, a career investment professional and former President of Standard & Poor's, and Raymond W. LeBoeuf, former Chairman and CEO of PPG Industries Inc., were unanimously elected to the MassMutual Board by the Board of Directors, effective February 11, 2008.
KATHLEEN A. CORBET
Ms. Corbet served as President of Standard & Poor's from April 2004 to September 2007, leading an organization of 8,000 employees located in 25 countries. Prior to joining S&P, she was CEO of the fixed income division of Alliance Capital Management LP (now AllianceBernstein LP), a global investment adviser. Before joining Alliance in 1993, she had been at the Equitable Life Assurance Society for 10 years, with responsibilities that included serving as Executive Vice President and head of fixed income management in its Equitable Capital Management Corp. unit.
Ms. Corbet holds an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business and a B.S. from Boston College's School of Management. She resides in New Canaan, Conn.
RAYMOND LEBOEUF
Mr. LeBoeuf had been an executive with PPG Industries Inc. for 25 years, joining as Treasurer in 1980 and retiring as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in July 2005. Prior to his employment at PPG, Mr. LeBoeuf held various financial positions at Ford Motor Company.
Mr. LeBoeuf holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois and a B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of ITT Corporation and Praxair Inc. He resides in Naples, Fla.
