SEATTLE - (Business Wire) Tideworks Technology®, Inc., a leading provider of full-service terminal management and planning software solutions, today announced it has been selected by the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) to deploy its complete suite of container terminal management solutions at the Conley Container Terminal at the Port of Boston. Conley Container Terminal will replace its legacy system with Tideworks’ complete turnkey solution, which will be hosted at Tideworks’ U.S.-based data center in Western Washington. The deployment at Conley Container Terminal is Tideworks’ first project in New England.

“Massport conducted a thorough bid process to find the right technology partner for their project,” said Michael Schwank, president of Tideworks Technology. “We’re thrilled to have been selected and confident that our comprehensive solution and service offerings will enable Massport to increase efficiency and provide a seamless transition.”

The complete Tideworks solution includes the company’s Mainsail Terminal Management System®, Mainsail Online, Forecast®, Spinnaker Planning Management System®, Traffic Control™ and Digital Bridge™. Tideworks will implement these systems as well as develop necessary interfaces for Massport’s accounting system and other business critical systems. Services which Tideworks will provide as part of the comprehensive solution for Massport include:

  • Procurement of Third Party Hardware: Tideworks will provide sourcing and procurement services for all necessary third-party hardware, including an automated, integrated voice response (IVR) system. IVR will allow truck drivers to gain access to vital container information via telephony.
  • Customization and Data Migration: Tideworks will customize software to meet Massport’s critical requirements where needed, as well as migrate data from its existing legacy system to Tideworks’ system.
  • Database Administration and Application Monitoring: As the software will be hosted at Tideworks’ data center, Tideworks will perform all database administration and application monitoring for peak performance and maximum uptime.
  • Post-Implementation Support and Maintenance: Tideworks will provide ongoing technical support of the applications through its 24/7 service center in Seattle, Wash. As part of its industry-leading support and maintenance service offering, Tideworks will provide all future software upgrades.

The replacement of the legacy system with Tideworks’ complete turnkey solution will ensure Conley Terminal has a reliable, long-term technology partner.
