today announced that it is entering the retail health insurance market in the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts by offering 16 individual and family health
insurance plans from Fallon Community Health Plan (FCHP) on its retail
site.
The individual and family health insurance plans from FCHP are the first
health insurance products to be made available in Massachusetts through eHealthInsurance.com and are
now currently available on the site. Residents of Massachusetts can also
apply for health insurance from FCHP through the Worcester, Mass.-based
company's website, by contacting a local agent or broker, and through the
Massachusetts Health Connector.
FCHP offers a range of Massachusetts health insurance
plans for purchase. Customers have the ability to select from one of two
networks of doctors and hospitals where they can receive care. FCHP members
receive many unique benefits and services, including a one-of-a-kind
fitness reimbursement program that provides families up to $400 for healthy
activities (up to $200 for individuals); $0 copayments for routine
physicals and well-child care; preventive dental coverage and eye exams;
free 24/7 access to health care professionals by phone or Web; free smoking
cessation program; and free prenatal vitamins, car seat and other "little
extras" for expectant parents.
