- (Business Wire) LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Inc. and American Composers Orchestra (ACO) will hold a press conference to discuss the exciting partnership between the world’s leading luxury goods group and the innovative orchestra to create and premiere new musical works for orchestra, commissioned from two of America’s brightest up-and-coming composers. The conference will be held at 2 pm, next Monday, November 16th in the Magic Room at the LVMH Tower, located at 19 East 57th Street.
As part of the conference, Erin Gee, the 2009 ACO/LVMH Commissioned Composer, will showcase her new orchestral work, which uses two microphones and live computer processing.
In addition to introducing Erin Gee, whose music will be premiered by ACO on November 30 presented by Carnegie Hall, LVMH and ACO will also announce the second phase of their partnership – a national search for a second composer who will be chosen based on proposals for new orchestral pieces inspired by a theme to be revealed at the November 16th conference. LVMH and ACO will also discuss the critical ties between business and the arts and the creative bond between fashion, visual arts and media.
