ST. CHARLES, IL -- 10/13/09 --
Monolith Software, a software provider with
the industry's most flexible and versatile IT management solution, today
announced that Bill Cannon has been appointed vice president of strategic
sales. Cannon has more than 25 years of experience developing and executing
strategic sales initiatives at EMC, Voyence, Micromuse, Ameritech, and
AT&T. He most recently managed the EMC Ionix software team, which focused
on the U.S. telecommunications, media and entertainment markets. Prior to
managing the U.S. team, he led the international sales initiative
integrating Voyence into the EMC sales organization. Cannon joined the
company following the acquisition of Voyence, where he successfully
expanded into new international markets, including Europe, Africa and the
Middle East. Effective immediately, Cannon will lead Monolith's global
strategic sales efforts.

For more than five years, Cannon served as vice president of sales and
technical services for Micromuse, where he was responsible for managing the
key vertical markets of telecom carrier, federal government and OEM, which
comprised of the majority of North American sales. While there, he
developed strategic channel relationships with IBM, Cisco, Telcordia,
CAPGENEMI, and regional VARS in addition to establishing a federal
government sales team, which in three years grew to represent more than 15
percent of the North American license revenues. As general manager of
Ameritech's Advanced Data Services, Cannon built strategic data account
teams focused on the company's top 200 largest business and government
customers, growing revenue from $100M to $282M in three years. At AT&T, he
built a strategic sales organization, which successfully targeted
competitive long distance and data networking accounts in the Fortune 500.
