ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - (Business Wire) UtiliPoint International, Inc. has appointed Larry M. Robinson as Managing Director and Publisher. In this newly created executive role, Robinson will have responsibility for all external communication channels, product and service positioning, research direction, thought leadership and knowledge management, as well as editor of publications. The organization's marketing and communications team and the external events team will report to this position. Robinson's publishing career began at The Denver Post where he was the Regional Sales Manager, Special Sections Manager, and Business Development Manager. He enjoyed a steady progression of senior level marketing, communication and publishing roles including Energy Central, where he was Marketing/Knowledge Services Sales and Business Development Manager; Penton Publications, where he was Advertising Director and Associate Publisher; and most recently L & M Group where he served as President.
An initial focus area for Robinson in this new role will be leading the marketing division at UtiliPoint in rolling out several new initiatives, including publication of "The Great Transformers" interview series in partnership with Forbes Custom and Forbes Media. "The Great Transformers" series will engage senior executives, public policy makers, and influential thinkers from across multiple industries in thought leadership on the topic of transformation in today's dramatically changing energy market.
