KANSAS CITY, Kan. - (Business Wire) LaGarde Inc., a leader in cutting-edge eCommerce solutions for more than 12 years, announced today the launch of their Phoenix eCommerce platform which is offered as a software as a service(SaaS) model and is aimed at mid- and large-market businesses. The Phoenix platform was built to allow unlimited modularity, while meeting and exceeding every single existing eCommerce security standard.

The new Phoenix platform has already won several accolades from the Micrsoft.NET community, said Michael Wiley, premier field engineer, Microsoft Services, U.S. East Region. I also want to reiterate that the Phoenix application is one of the best we have seen.

LaGarde's Phoenix platform is designed to be flexible, configurable and scalable and will make it easier for mid-and large market businesses to enhance and grow their connections with customers, suppliers, employees and business partners. The flexibility inherent in the Phoenix platform enables businesses to integrate state-of-the-art functionality without disrupting their current business systems, minimizing the need to retrain or alter internal processes.

"eBusiness in general and eCommerce specifically have become increasingly more complicated while at the same time significantly more valuable and strategic to businesses and organizations of all types," said Bob LaGarde, founder and CEO of LaGarde. "The increasing burdens of regulatory compliance and complexity of eBusiness enablement demand that vendors provide scalable, extensible turnkey solutions. This concept of flexibility meets security enables the Phoenix platform to surpass all other SaaS solutions on the market and we are excited to bring our 12 years of experience to bear on this new offering," said LaGarde.

LaGarde's Phoenix platform is specifically designed for B2C, B2B, manufacturing, distribution, services and government, education, and not-for-profit industry segments. The underlying technology is designed to support seamless customization and integration for the increased functionality dynamic businesses need for efficiency and profitability.

LaGarde's one click configuration gives customers a wide degree of latitude to change business process on the site with a simplified 'one click' interface," said Jen Klingensmith, product manager for LaGarde. "The product runs on Microsoft .NET and features a highly modularized architecture, complimented by a Web services layer for enhanced scalability and extensibility for custom functionality and integration with other critical back office systems, said Klingensmith.

The new platform is offered as a part of a total solution package that incorporates PCI and SAS 70 compliant hosting, product support, upgrades and the account management services necessary to meet the ongoing demands of today's mid-and-large market client.

"LaGarde hit a software home run with the Phoenix applicationthe architecture makes it scalable; the development team hit their mark for performance, scalability and modularity," said Jim Erwin, reviewer with Microsoft Solutions Partner VisionPace.

LaGarde's first client on the new platform, TeaGschwendner, has 140 retail tea stores around the world. TeaGschwendner came to LaGarde seeking to improve online conversions with an enriched shopping experience for its retail customers as well as to increase revenue and provide enhanced B2B support for its distribution partners.

"Rather than trying to pick a solution that happens to have the functionality I need today, I wanted to make sure I was tying myself to something that has the potential for growth moving forward, said Charles Cain, director of U.S. operations for TeaGschwendner. LaGarde's extensible platform allows my business to grow and change and that really stood out to me," said Cain.

LaGarde will showcase the new Phoenix platform in booth #442 at the Internet Retailer Conference June 9-12 in Chicago.
