Pomodoro Kids' Menu Keeps Younger Set Happy SAN FRANCISCO, July 23
SAN FRANCISCO, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Parents love Pomodoro because their
kids enjoy good food, fun activities to keep them occupied, friendly staff
serving them and a kid-friendly feel in a sophisticated restaurant setting.
Recently, Pomodoro sweetened things even more with a great deal: kids eat
free* on Tuesdays at participating Pomodoro restaurants.
"My wife and I enjoy dining out with our boys, so when I designed our
kids' program, it was with the entire family in mind," says Pomodoro Chef and
Founder Adriano Paganini. "The best part of having a restaurant is seeing
smiling people in the dining room. Even better when it's a family."
With Pomodoro's Kids' Menu, children choose from one of four entrees --
Mini Parmigiana, Cheese Pizza, Grilled Cheese Sandwich or Cheesy Pasta -- or
build their own by matching their favorite pasta (penne, spaghetti or ravioli)
with their favorite sauce (tomato, tomato-and-cream, cream, meatball or
butter-and-cheese). Kids' meals (regularly $4.95) include milk, apple juice
or soda and a small chocolate sundae. And while they wait, kids can color (a
box of crayons is provided) and keep busy with themed activities on their
colorful Pomodoro placemats. The placemats are redesigned two to four times a
year with a new theme.
Still, the regular Pomodoro menu offers several popular items for kids.
Pre-teens and teens often order the Polpette (spaghetti with beef and pork
meatball in a spicy tomato sauce), Capellini Pomodoro (with tomato sauce,
roasted garlic, basil and olive oil), Tortellini (with cream and pancetta or
bolognese), and Gemelli (twisted pasta, smoked/grilled chicken, sun-dried
tomatoes, mushroom cream sauce). Italian sodas allow kids to create their own
soda concoctions from a multitude of flavor choices. And it's easy to talk
parents into finishing the meal with Pomodoro's mini desserts.
Here's how the Pomodoro Kids Eat Free* on Tuesdays offer works: families
receive a complimentary kids' meal from Pomodoro's Kids Menu with the purchase
of one adult entree. The offer is good for dine-in customers only, has no cash
value and cannot be combined with any other offer.
"KIDS EAT FREE" LOCATIONS: The following Pomodoro restaurants ARE
participating in the Kids Eat Free Tuesdays program: In San Francisco -- North
Beach, Irving & 9th Ave. and Cow Hollow; Marin -- San Rafael, Mill Valley,
Novato; Peninsula/South Bay -- Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Redwood City, Camden Park
and Evergreen; East Bay & Sacramento -- Rockridge, Pleasant Hill, El Cerrito,
Vallejo, Emeryville, and Roseville. In Southern California: Irvine -- Oak
Creek, Corona, Woodland Hills, Burbank -- Town Center, Aliso Viejo, Sherman
Oaks -- La Reina Place, Huntington Beach and West Hollywood.
Because some Pomodoro restaurants cannot accommodate an overwhelming
response to certain offers, the following restaurants are NOT participating:
the Castro, Laurel Village and Noe Valley restaurants in San Francisco; Bay
Meadows, San Bruno, Union City, San Jose-Santana Row, San Jose-The Alameda,
Newport Coast, Laguna, Manhattan Beach and the three Pomodoro restaurants in
Arizona. As this is subject to change or modification, Pomodoro recommends
guests contact their nearest restaurant to confirm. Contact information can be
found at pastapomodoro.com.
