IRVINE, Calif. - (Business Wire) Jeff Okamoto, Vice President, Land Development for RBF Consulting (RBF), was installed on October 16 as a member of the Board of Directors for the Building Industry Association/Orange County (BIA/OC). The Installation took place at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, CA. Jeff has over 20 years' experience as a registered Civil Engineer and has been an active member of the BIA/OC since the early 1990’s. He brings exceptional leadership to BIA/OC with his experience and involvement with affiliate organizations. “I am excited for the opportunity to be elected as a Board Member where I can apply my industry knowledge and business skills to assist BIA/OC with their goals and objectives,“ stated Jeff.
Mr. Okamoto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He has over 23 years of diverse civil engineering experience and is involved in all aspects of grading, hydrology and hydraulics, storm drain, roadway, sewer, and water design for public works facilities and private developments. His expertise includes project management, specification writing, project scheduling, quality assurance, and production of preliminary engineering reports for concept review and approvals. His background and experience were key factors in his selection as a BIA/OC Board member.
BIA/OC is a non-profit trade association representing more than 1,000 companies employing over 100,000 people affiliated with the home building industry. The BIA/OC is one of seven chapters and eleven councils that make up the BIA of Southern California. The BIA/OC is also affiliated with the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). An active board of directors and 11 committees, made up of leaders from local builders, trade contractors, and businesses associated with the real estate industry, lead the BIA/OC in its mission to promote proactive participation in the development of complex economic and community issues in Orange County.
