Janney Montgomery Scott LLC (“Janney”), a leading full-service wealth management, financial services and investment banking firm headquartered in Philadelphia, announced today that
H. Jeffrey Spivack has joined the established team of professionals in the Firm
’s Wealth Management department as Director of Financial and Estate Planning, bringing 22 years of financial service experience to Janney
’s established team of professionals.
In the role, Mr. Spivack is responsible for the day-to-day internal strategic planning, oversight and management of the Financial and Estate Planning Group. His responsibilities include plan development and execution and FC education initiatives on the financial planning process, as the Firm continues to emphasize and support the implementation of comprehensive wealth management and financial planning for its clients.

Mr. Spivack replaces Christopher Haidinger Jr., who was recently named Director, Private Wealth Consulting, and will lead the consultation arm of financial planning from outside of the corporate headquarters, traveling to Janney’s over 100 branch offices.

Mr. Spivack began his career as a Financial Consultant at Wheat First Butcher and Singer. From there, he built a career around the practice management, training and client services aspects of comprehensive financial planning. Over the course of his accomplished career, he’s held leadership and management roles in FC practice management, training and sales management with firms such as Merrill Lynch, and most recently, Ryan Beck & Co. (now Stifel Nicolaus), where he served as Director of Financial Planning.

Mr. Spivack earned his B.S. from Drexel University in Finance, Economics and Marketing, and continued his professional education, earning a Certificate in Financial Planning from Kaplan University and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and Accredited Asset Management Specialist designations. Extremely active in both the industry and his community, he has served as a member of the Securities Industry Association, Financial Planning Association, as well as a founding Member on the Sungard Advisory Board. Additionally, he has served as a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a member of the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Art Museum and as an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, Philadelphia.
Mr. Spivack currently resides in Long Island, NY, with his wife, Barbara and their 7 year old son, Jordan.
