WS_FTP Server Web Transfer
Module, a new highly secure, browser-based product for use with WS_FTP
Server 6.1.1. The new product makes transferring files second nature by
allowing authorized users to securely connect to WS_FTP Server via their
browser in order to share information easily without installing desktop
software, thus making the file transfer process faster and less complex for
both end users and server administrators. Now, authorized users can simply
use an Internet-enabled computer to securely upload or download files and
even create and delete folders on a remote server. The WS_FTP Server Web
Transfer Module enables employees and external business partners to connect
to company networks and share information easily and securely.
The 60-school Killeen School District in central Texas is using WS_FTP
Server Web Transfer Module to meet state-mandated initiatives for sharing

file/folder permissions, disk quotas, and more, are all automatically
enforced. Additionally, since the file transfer interface runs within the
browser and transfers are performed over HTTP/S, authorized users can
simply connect their computer to WS_FTP and transfer files. Without any
software to install, end users simply enter the URL or save it and access
it as a browser favorite.

transferred over the encrypted HTTPS protocol, which completely protects

SSL using the encrypted HTTPS protocol. Additionally, all end user account
settings and permissions on WS_FTP Server are applied to the WS_FTP Server
Web Transfer Module. This enables users to access their account, files,
folders, and virtual folders just as if they connected with traditional
desktop FTP or SSH file transfer client desktop software like WS_FTP
Professional.
