SANTA CLARA, Calif. - (Business Wire) Intoto, the leading provider of security software for network infrastructure equipment, today announced it will demonstrate breakthrough Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) performance of 10Gbps on a low-cost Quad-Core Intel
® Xeon
® based platform at the RSA 2008 conference. Intoto will also showcase its industry-leading EnterpriseUTM software product on the Intel platform. Demonstrations will be available at Intel Booth #1845 in San Francisco
’s Moscone Centre, April 7-10, 2008.
Intoto’s iGateway IPS is designed to prevent attackers from exploiting vulnerabilities in an existing computer system or network. It also aims to prevent individuals inside the enterprise from misusing privileges such as running bandwidth hungry non-enterprise applications and exploiting existing vulnerabilities in the network. Key features include:
- Multiple intrusion detection methods including signature based detection, protocol anomaly and traffic anomaly; Application protocol (SMTP, HTTP, POP3, IMAP, SNMP, SIP, SMB, SSH) intelligent threat detection and prevention.
- P2P (Peer-to-Peer), IM, DDL (Direct Download Links), ‘One Click hosting providers’ traffic detection and throttling / blocking traffic to conserve bandwidth for enterprise applications and services.
- Application level network traffic visibility, comprehensive management, and report generation. Detection of infected internal systems via traffic monitoring.
Intoto has achieved benchmark performance for throughput and connection rate with UDP, HTTP and TCP traffic with entire signature set. iGateway IPS 10Gbps UDP throughput performance demonstration shows the performance scaling linearly with the number of Intel CPU cores in the system. Intoto will formally announce new breakthrough performance numbers in the coming weeks.
“Our products enable OEMs to offer the highest level of network security and performance using off-the-shelf general-purpose processors,” said Sathyan Iyengar, CEO of Intoto. “We are very excited about the numbers we are seeing in the labs, which we will soon announce.”
Intoto will also demonstrate its iGateway EnterpriseUTM software solution on the Intel platform during the RSA 2008 show. Intoto’s UTM includes VPN, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), network-based anti-virus and anti-spam functions. Intoto’s iGateway anti-virus and anti-spam technology is open and flexible, allowing for the support of third-party scan engines and signature databases. The platform has pre-integrated support for industry-leading anti-virus solutions from Kasperky Lab and anti-spam solutions from Commtouch. The UTM solution also incorporates networking technologies such as High Availability with active-backup and active-active modes, Load Balancing & Fail-Over on multiple WAN links, and QoS/Traffic Management.
Intoto will exhibit its technology in Intel’s booth (#1845) April 8-10, 2008. To arrange an appointment with Intoto’s technical team, contact sales@intoto.com.
