TORONTO, ONTARIO -- 04/16/08 -- As announced previously, Inter-Rock Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE: IRO) raised proceeds earlier this year to finance exploration of its Sentinel and Stingaree Valley properties.

Stingaree Valley

Two phases of geophysical exploration work have been completed at Stingaree Valley. The first phase comprised a gravity survey carried out over a 19.4 square km area. The gravity survey stations were on a nominal 150 m grid. The second phase consisted of an induced polarization (IP) survey. IP/resistivity data were acquired over a total length of 10.2 km on three east-west lines. Preliminary assessment of these data indicates several areas of high exploration interest. Data interpretation is underway by Zonge Geosciences, Inc of Reno, NV and Inter-Rock expects a final report within a month.

The Stingaree project is in Churchill County, Nevada. Inter-Rock recently staked an additional 7 claims which brings the property total to 51 claims. The property is located between the historic Chalk Mountain and Westgate mining districts in a valley floor located 45 miles east of Fallon and just north of U.S. Highway 50. Chalk Mountain is immediately to the west of the property, while Westgate is about 1.5 miles to the southeast.

Other Properties

The Sentinel property is located in northern Humboldt County, Nevada approximately 80 miles northwest of Winnemucca. Inter-Rock holds 22 claims covering 440 acres and plans to start exploration work in the late spring once the snow cover has melted.

In addition to Stingaree Valley and Sentinel, Inter-Rock holds three other mineral properties in northern Nevada that are available for option. An option agreement was recently entered into with General Copper, Inc. for one of these properties. Under the agreement, General Copper has the right to acquire 100% of Inter-Rock's Cove Copper project, which comprises 12 unpatented claims in Humboldt County, Nevada, in exchange for cash payments and shares in General Metals Corporation.
