GREEN BAY, Wis. - (Business Wire) Integrative Therapeutics, Inc. (ITI®) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians announced the 2010 STAIRSM Residency Sites and are seeking naturopathic scholarship candidates for this unique program. Each site will each host a fully-paid resident for a one year in an integrative practice. The 2010 winners are:
The Integrative Family Wellness Center, Brookfield, Wisconsin combines family practice, chiropractic, acupuncture, and naturopathic medicine.
Michele Nickels, NMD, LAc, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine graduate, completed her naturopathic residency in family practice. Her expertise includes corporate wellness and her goal is to bridge the gap between naturopathic and conventional medicine.
Bozena Simon, MD, Board Certified Internist, graduated from the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship Program under Dr. Andrew Weil. Dr. Simon combines natural medicine with functional medicine diagnostic algorithms to design individualized programs for every patient.
NatureMed Clinic, LLC, Boulder, Colorado combines Western, Eastern, alternative, complementary and holistic medicine.
Stephen W. Parcell, ND, is certified in chelation therapy and Defeat Autism Now. His residency in integrative and advanced longevity medicine was with anti-aging specialist Terry Grossman, MD. Dr. Parcell has a great interest in heart health and is currently writing book on preventive cardiology.
Fran Mason, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and oncology and also specializes in sports medicine. She graduated from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, with postgraduate specialty fellowship in hematology, oncology and chief residency in medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mason believes optimal performance requires the right mix of training and attention to the physiological needs of each individual.
Kelly Parcell, ND specializes in women's health including gynecology, fertility and endocrinology. She graduated from Bastyr University with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine, interned at the Tahoma clinic under Jonathan Wright, MD, and practiced as a primary care doctor in Washington State.
The STAIR residency provides invaluable experience, creating a well rounded background in practice management. ITI is seeking candidates for scholarships to begin fall 2010.
