SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- 08/04/08 -- LinuxWorld Conference & Expo -- InMage Systems (www.inmage.net) is exhibiting its flagship DR-Scout disaster recovery and business continuity software at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo. Based on continuous data protection (CDP) technology, DR-Scout enables companies to drive the cost and complexity out of their business continuity strategies while improving recovery time and recovery point objectives. The software newly features support for the latest distribution versions of Red Hat, SUSE, Oracle Unbreakable Linux and Debian, as well as support for Xen, the powerful open source industry standard for virtualization.

InMage's senior systems engineer Chad Stanfield is a featured LinuxWorld speaker and will present a tutorial on "Easing the Burdens of Troubleshooting through Continuous Data Protection." The presentation covers CDP's evolution beyond its traditional role in disaster recovery to become a powerful troubleshooting technology. Mr. Stanfield's presentation is scheduled for Thursday, August 7 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

"Today's Linux customers require real-time, continuous, bi-directional data protection at a very granular level," said Tom Urban, director of marketing, InMage Systems. "DR-Scout's streamlined data replication is based on block-level differences and real-time data changes, providing near-instant recovery while eliminating the risk of data loss that can occur between traditional backups and snapshots."

DR-Scout provides application-consistent recovery for local and remote locations, with built-in pushbutton failover and failback for MySQL, Oracle, and File and Web servers. This difference provides restoration back to a given event or point in time with much higher assurance that the application will come up correctly. Virtual snapshots allow better fine-tuning for recovery without requiring additional disk space, while the CDP/DR modeler helps IT staff accurately provision secondary disk storage and bandwidth.

LinuxWorld takes place from August 4-7 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. The InMage exhibit will be located at booth #1210.
