INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- AMD LASERS, with global headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, today announced that projected sales of the Picasso soft tissue dental lasers have more than tripled expectations in the first year. "Everyone said it couldn't be done-that the anemic economy would hold us back from staking our claim in the highly competitive dental laser market," said Alan Miller, President and CEO of AMD LASERS. "We've expanded our facility, doubled our staff, and are robustly increasing production due to a backlog of orders. At this rate, by spring of 2010 we will be the largest volume laser company in the world. It's official; we have bucked the economic trend and will not subscribe to recession-not now and not in the future."
Sales of the Picasso dental laser have already penetrated 40 countries in only seven months. "With its' extreme affordability, attractive packaging, portability, and ease of use, we expect 2010 Picasso and related product sales to be in the range of 40-50,000 units globally," stated Miller.
