NOVATO, CA -- 11/03/09 -- IMSI/Design, maker of the #1 best-selling CAD in retail, announced today a co-marketing agreement with Corel Corporation, one of the world's top software companies.

The co-marketing agreement is for both companies to jointly market IMSI/Design's new DoubleCAD™ XT PRO with Corel DESIGNER® Technical Suite X4, a CorelDRAW® product, through an aggressively priced promotional bundle.

"There has always been a tremendous reception to Corel products among our customers," said Bob Mayer, COO of IMSI/Design. "This specially-priced bundle represents an outstanding value between two terrific products."

DoubleCAD XT PRO and Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite allow designers, architects, technical writers, and illustrators to more effectively leverage existing CAD data from engineering design models into presentation materials. Now models can be opened, their views and rendered modes manipulated, and 2D vector or bitmap images, even 3D models may be easily exchanged between the two applications.

"The workflow between these applications is particularly easy," added Klaus Vossen, Product Manager for Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite at Corel. "Create the right views, sections, and more in DoubleCAD, then enhance in Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite for truly impactful illustrations."

About DoubleCAD™ XT PRO

DoubleCAD™ XT PRO is the upgrade to DoubleCAD™ XT. It is an AutoCAD LT work-alike that goes beyond even AutoCAD LT® in terms of CAD capabilities, especially in the area of drafting and detailing. Most significantly, DoubleCAD XT PRO includes a powerful and innovative Drafting Palette that expedites the drafting-to-detailing process by creating fully associative, 2D views or hatched sections (even from xrefs). Other unique features include geometric and dimensional constraints, intelligent ACA (AutoCAD Architectural) objects, and premium customer support. The product includes one of the widest varieties of file filters in the CAD industry, including support for .DWG (AutoCAD R14 to 2009), .SKP (Google SketchUp), .IGES, .3DM (Rhinoceros®), .3DS (Autodesk® 3ds Max®), .STL, and more.
