SUNRISE, Fla. - (Business Wire) Have a Heart Charities, Inc. (www.haveaheartcharities.com), is a South Florida 501 (c)(3) organization formed to raise money for South Florida charities supporting health and education causes. Have a Heart Charities announced today that the Have a Heart Golf Tournament for the benefit of the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund, a Coral Springs based organization, was held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Colony West Country Club in Tamarac, Florida, and raised over $ 8,000. The Golf tournament and fundraiser was organized and hosted by the Have a Heart Charities executive committee and attracted 125 golfers and more than 60 sponsors, including Broward Health Corporation, The Ryder Corporation, The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business, and food, beverage and entertainment sponsors such as Buffalo Wings & Rings of Coconut Creek, The Improv Comedy Club at the Seminole Hard Rock, and Bernie’s Bagels of Coral Springs. Over thirty local volunteers helped support the event, which was Coordinated by Golf Chairperson Jay Siegel. “This was truly a team effort and we are proud to work with our local community and its leaders to help these worthy causes,” stated Andrew Siegerman, CEO of Have a Heart Charities. “We are happy to help the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund, and we look forward to planning our next event for another deserving South Florida charity,” added Mr. Siegerman.
