Mr. Salinas presented a talk entitled "Opportunities at the Bottom of the Pyramid," with the message that inclusive products and services that are targeted to the 5 plus billion population that do not currently participate in market economy could be a great detonator to world economic growth.

The event was standing room only for the audience in the 800-room auditorium, causing organizers to create an adjacent spillover room for an addition 200 people.

During the event, Dr. Prescott was highly critical of governments with propensities to increase taxes. "Taxes have large consequences ... Politicians tend to be tax and spend people. They want to be able to have the spending to get their constituencies to get them re-elected," he said.
