Come join the fun at the event of the season for
Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. families. The first
Great Kids Expo (
www.Expo4GreatKids.com) will be held at the Dulles Expo
Center in Chantilly, VA, on Saturday and Sunday, October 25-26. Featuring
live entertainment, educational sessions, cool demonstrations, activities
and more than 100 exhibitors, Great Kids Expo is all about having fun while
learning how to raise a healthy, happy and safe family.
Some of the region's best-loved performers will be on hand to bring smiles
and laughter to kids of all ages. Mr. Knick Knack!, rated the areas'
favorite entertainer by DC Baby magazine, will be performing both days.
With no gimmicks and no costumes, Mr. Knick Knack! takes to the stage with
his guitar, and the kids go wild, dancing and singing along to original
tunes and classic favorites. The stage at the Great Kids Expo is sponsored
by Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children.
Along with appearances by Mr. Knick Knack!, the Expo will feature a huge
variety of exhibits, educational programs and entertainers, including:
-- Washington Capital's Slapshot will meet sports fans of all ages.
-- Interactive Gaming Experience features the latest in gaming
technology, focusing on education and fitness. Everyone can enter the
Guitar Hero Tournament, and the winner gets a $100 gift certificate to
Gamestop.
-- The JumpWorks Circus City triple inflatable giant slide and the
JumpWorks KidSteam train, where kids can ride and meet the conductor, will
add to the fun.
-- The Children's Science Center features fun with shaving cream, where
your kids will create a unique work of art.
-- At Halloween Craft center, get ready for Halloween by participating in
the Pumpkin Decorating Craft Project, hosted by Michaels craft stores.
Great Kids Expo is the only event in metropolitan Washington that offers
such a wide range of products and services for families at one event, plus
it's a great day for families with kids from newborn to pre-teen.
"Great Kids Expo will not only provide fun entertainment and valuable
information, but most important, it will give parents and children an
opportunity to spend quality time together," said Sean Sullivan, Team

informative sessions on financial planning, child safety, healthy eating

More than 100 exhibitors will be presenting a range of products and
services, including the Ashburn Children's Dentistry, Children's Science
Center, Etiquette School of Virginia, Fairfax County Sheriff's Office,
George Mason Athletics, Go Bananas, Gymboree Play & Music, Huntington
Learning Center, Mommy Bootcamp, Northwestern Mutual and Pump It Up.
If you purchase before Oct. 24, tickets are just $4 each for children 2-17,
with adult tickets only $10 (add $2 per ticket after that date). Children
under 2 are free with a paid adult admission.
