"Peggy and Matt both have extensive experience working with brands, agencies and media companies, which is key to Generate's approach to creating unique branded entertainment opportunities," said Jordan Levin, CEO, Generate. "Brands have shown significant interest in working with Generate, and we currently have large projects across the digital, television, mobile and live mediums in partnership with several Fortune 100 brands. Adding proven industry talent like Peggy and promoting Matt will enable Generate to continue to focus on developing creative marketing solutions for brands and stay ahead of the rapid changes that are reshaping the entertainment and media industries."
In her new role, Mansfield will be responsible for initiating marketing partnerships, soliciting sponsorships and negotiating deals related to development projects, online, television and mobile productions, and live events for Generate. She will work closely with Winslow, who oversees Generate's strategic partnerships and creates integrated branded entertainment programs for the company's multiplatform content.
An experienced entertainment ad sales executive and marketer, Mansfield was most recently the associate publisher at Entertainment Weekly responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales development, marketing, events, promotions, research and creative services for the brand's print and online properties. She also managed many high-profile entertainment events for Entertainment Weekly including the Sundance Film Festival, Independent Spirit Awards, Grammys, Oscars and Emmys. Preceding her four-year run at Entertainment Weekly, Mansfield served as publisher of In Touch Weekly, where she was instrumental in introducing this new entertainment weekly to the advertising community. Earlier Mansfield held high-level advertising sales or management positions with Teen People Magazine's teenpeople.com, MTV Networks and The Walt Disney Company.
"There is so much possibility out there and Generate's take on where entertainment is headed is completely innovative and dead-on," said Mansfield. "We're breaking down the barriers when it comes to how content and brands work together in the entertainment realm, and I'm excited to see just how far we can take it."
Winslow, who joined Generate in July 2007 as vice president, marketing, is a veteran marketing and advertising executive and recognized champion of developing strategies that extend brand presence to new platforms who has worked with Fortune 500 brands in categories including entertainment, gaming and consumer electronics. He joined Generate from Ignited Minds, where he served as vice president of business development and was integral in developing relationships with a litany of major brands such as Nike, Jose Cuervo, Cadbury Schweppes, Motorola and NBC Universal. During his tenure at Ignited Minds, the agency won several awards for the creation of a series of short interactive films for the LA Weekly. He also oversaw the team responsible for creating an online television series about E3, the largest and most anticipated gaming convention in the country, for series for Sony PlayStation. Prior to Ignited Minds, Winslow was director of business development at The Ballpark, a sports advertising agency where he developed relationships with widely recognized brands in the sports and entertainment industry. Earlier he worked as a marketing and development consultant with 20th Century Fox.
"I am extremely excited to be a part of this team and focusing on creating new and interesting opportunities for advertisers to connect with consumers," said Winslow. "We offer brands an opportunity to be integrated into content that is rooted in the type of rich storytelling audiences have come to embrace."
