WASHINGTON, July 8 FRC-poll-on-marriage
Religious Liberty Panel to Follow

WASHINGTON, July 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thursday, July 10, at 10:00 am, Family Research Council will release the results of a commissioned national survey showing the political impact of marriage protection amendments on the November ballot in California, Florida, and Arizona. The survey conducted by Wilson Research Strategies asks likely voters if they "would be more or less likely to vote for a presidential candidate" who supports measures on the November ballot that would define marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Following the presentation of the survey findings, a panel of legal and policy experts representing the ideological spectrum will address questions that concern a growing number of Americans. Will churches be able to deny "marrying" homosexual couples? Will they be able to deny access to their facilities for homosexual wedding receptions? Will other Christian organizations be able to retain their religious identity and beliefs in light of the court's decision?

Who: Kevin J "Seamus" Hasson, Founder, Chairman of the Board, and President of the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty; Professor Teresa Stanton Collett, University of St. Thomas School of Law; Nathan J. Diament, Director of the Institute for Public Affairs of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America; Professor Chai R. Feldblum, Georgetown University Law Center; Benjamin Bull, Alliance Defense Fund; and Tony Perkins, President of the Family Research Council
