COLUMBIA, Md., July 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fortress International
Group Inc. (Nasdaq: FIGI), a company providing comprehensive services for the
planning, design, development and maintenance of mission critical facilities
and information infrastructure, today announced it had been awarded a
design/build contract for the second phase of an existing project with a major
university located in New York.
The contract calls for the upgrade of a separate facility to data center-
ready space, and Fortress will provide the design and installation services
for new mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems. Fortress will also
provide general construction services to secure and retrofit the space in
order to be suitable for new electronic equipment.
The contract was originated through an existing partnering relationship
with a major IT firm. The work is to begin immediately and should be completed
prior to the end of the second quarter of 2009.
