PHILADELPHIA, June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Litigation lawyer Abbe F. Fletman, a
shareholder at Flaster/Greenberg, attorneys at law
(http://www.flastergreenberg.com), was selected one of the "25 Women of the
Year" lawyers in Pennsylvania by the editors of The Legal Intelligencer and
Pennsylvania Law Weekly. She was recognized for her leadership in advancing
the status of women in the profession and for her work successfully trying
numerous cases in 2007. She and the other recipients will be honored at the
Women in the Profession Honorary Luncheon in conjunction with the National
Association of Women Judges on June 13, 2008.

Abbe F. Fletman is head of the Litigation Section of the Intellectual
Property Practice Group and a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice
Group in Flaster/Greenberg's Philadelphia office. Among her many
accomplishments, she was named one of the 2007 Women of Distinction by the
Philadelphia Business Journal and is the 2007-2008 co-chairwoman of the Woman
Advocate Committee of the American Bar Association Litigation Section.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, she
is a fellow at The Academy of Advocacy of Temple University Beasley School of
Law, where she received her L.L.M. in Trial Advocacy and also serves as an
instructor. She is a barrister in the school's American Inn of Court.
Her successful representative matters include defending the generic
sugar-substitute manufacturer Heartland Sweeteners against a suit from Splenda
marketer McNeil Pharmaceuticals before the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals
and leading the plaintiff's trial team in a Title IX case in which the court
preliminarily enjoined Slippery Rock University from eliminating two women's
varsity athletics teams.
