MANCHESTER, NH -- 11/12/09 --
Newforma®, a software company
addressing the project information management (PIM) needs of
architecture, engineering and construction firms, today announced that FKP
Architects is using the Newforma® Project Center PIM solution to focus
attention on new business development and client service. The Texas-based,
full-service design firm employs Newforma software to organize and find all
types of project-related information, communicate and share project
information with internal and external team members, and streamline and
standardize common work processes.
FKP Architects Vice President and Chief Information Officer Bruce E. Houck
said Newforma Project Center's PIM capabilities further the firm's goal to
embrace all aspects of the client experience. "We aspire to what we call a
'360-degree understanding' of our clients, their needs and their
facilities," Houck said. "We rely on Newforma's software as a key component
of our overall knowledge management system. The software helps us master
the details on which our understanding of a project hinges, from the
earliest stages through final steps. Because the software makes us more
productive -- it has slashed the time required for file transfers, for
example -- we have more time to devote to winning new business and pleasing
clients."
Newforma Chief Executive Officer Ian Howell said FKP Architects epitomizes
the use of project information management software as a means to enrich the
larger mission of the firm. "Architects are happiest when they are designing
structures or taking care of clients," Howell said. "Newforma Project
Center promotes those activities by slashing administrative burdens, such
as managing emails, filing documents, logging transmittals and tracking
RFIs, and by mitigating risks that can sabotage client relationships, such
as when information is unintentionally filed to the wrong folder on the
network or an outstanding action item is overlooked."
