TEMPE, Ariz. - (Business Wire) LifeLock® CEO Todd Davis announced today a partnership with First National Bank of Waterloo. The partnership will allow LifeLocks identity theft protection service to be offered to the banks members at a discounted price. LifeLock has partnered with more than 150 banks and credit unions to offer consumers proactive identity theft protection.

First National Bank of Waterloo is committed to protecting our members with excellent services, said Gary D. Hemmer, President and CEO of the First National Bank of Waterloo. We are pleased to offer LifeLocks identity theft protection to them.

The Federal Trade Commission reports that in 2007, residents of Illinois registered more than 10,304 fraud complaints. Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States, costing Americans $1.2 billion annually.

We are excited about our partnership with First National Bank of Waterloo, added LifeLock CEO Todd Davis. This year, millions of Americans will become victims of identity theft just because their personal information ended up in the wrong hands. More companies, banks, credit unions and financial institutions need to take the same proactive step as First National Bank of Waterloo to help educate those who might not realize the problem or the solutions.

As the industry leader in identity theft protection, LifeLock requests on behalf of its clients that the national credit bureaus place fraud alerts on its members credit files, and requests that members names be removed from pre-approved credit card offer and junk mail lists. It is backed by a $1 million service guarantee. In addition to the proactive identity theft protection measures provided by LifeLock, members are also entitled to LifeLocks WalletLock service. WalletLock works to cancel and replace all documents and personal identifying information inside a wallet if it is lost or stolen.
