SANDUSKY, Ohio, June 14 OH-Army-at-CedarPoint
SANDUSKY, Ohio, June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- For four days, guests at Cedar Point amusement park/resort in Sandusky, Ohio, will have a chance to see if they have what it takes to be Army Strong.

From Thursday through Sunday, June 18-21, the U.S. Army's Strength in Action Tour will be located near the Wicked Twister roller coaster. The exhibit will be in operation from noon to 8 p.m. each day.

The exhibit will include many interactive activities to test guests' abilities and provide a glimpse of what it's like to be a soldier in the U.S. Army. Flight motion simulators, robots, physical fitness tests and even Guitar Hero will all be available to Cedar Point guests age 16 and older, free of charge.

In the Strength of Body display, guests will be able to see if they meet the physical fitness standards needed to join the Army. Push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and even a rock-climbing wall will test their physical strength.

Guests will be able to board a flight motion simulator and explore the technology of U.S. Army aviation in Strength to Soar. As the simulator rotates 360 degrees, guests will be able to see and feel what it's like to fly in an Apache helicopter.

The Strength of Team exhibit will allow a group of up to five people to participate in a life-like military combat convoy simulator that emphasizes the importance of teamwork. The simulation, based on an Army "High Value Target" extraction mission, is action-packed and very realistic.

Guests will also have an opportunity to work with a real "Packbot" robot, maneuvering it through an obstacle course in Strength of Technology. The "Packbots" are used to dismantle bombs in the field and play an important part in keeping our soldiers safe.

For guests who want to test their Guitar Hero skills against a friend or even a U.S. Army recruiter, the Rock Strong display will be a hit. Guests will be able to display their gaming abilities on stage.

This month marks the Army's 234th Birthday Season. In June 1775, the Continental Congress created a volunteer army of 16,000 soldiers to defend the newly formed nation.
