Medical announced today the launch of a new line of ceiling mounted patient lifts specifically designed to assist in the fight against Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs). The new infection control (I.C.) line of lifts incorporate an industry-first, patent-pending lifting strap that can be completely disinfected with virtually any hard surface disinfectant. “Traditional ceiling lifts have always posed a very-high risk of cross contamination due to their porous, fabric lifting straps which patients and caregivers handle all day so that while ceiling lifts are a perfect solution to reducing if not eliminating caregiver injuries, to date they continue to pose a potential infection control risk” says company CEO Jon Winer. “This new lifting strap can help eliminate the risks posed by MRSA, C.
