LOS ANGELES - (Business Wire) Paul N. Hopkins, CEO of Farmers Group, Inc., announced the appointment of Kevin Kelso to the post of Farmers Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Kelso was previously Farmers Executive Vice President and President of Personal Insurance.

Mr. Kelso joined Farmers in July 1999 as Vice President of Personal Lines Research & Development and held positions in Farmers’ Product Management and State Operations groups before becoming President of Farmers Personal Insurance in July of 2002. In January 2007, Mr. Kelso was promoted to Executive Vice President.
Mr. Kelso represents Farmers as the Chair of the Insurance Research Council’s Advisory Board and the Vice Chair of the Institute for Business and Home Safety. He also serves on the board of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
A native of Indiana, Mr. Kelso attended Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio; where he received Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science degrees in mathematics.
Mr. Kelso lives in Los Angeles, with his wife, Mary Beth, and their two children.
