CARMEL, Ind., June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Conseco, Inc. (NYSE: CNO)
announced that Michael Farley has joined the company as senior vice president,
annuity and life actuary. He reports to Ed Bonach, Conseco's chief financial
officer.
Farley, 45, joins Conseco from ING Re, where he served from 2001 to 2007
as chief financial officer and chief insurance risk officer. From 2000 to 2001
he served as the senior vice president, chief actuary and CFO of the Long Term
Care Division of Allianz Life Insurance Company. He also held the chief
actuary position at LifeUSA Insurance Company and various other positions at
Allianz Life Insurance Company and Federated Life Insurance Company during his
23-year insurance career.

team," Bonach said, "His experience makes him a natural fit for Conseco, and
he will certainly give us an operational advantage as we move forward."
A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy
of Actuaries (AAA), Mr. Farley earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with
a mathematics minor from St. John's University in Minnesota. He has also
served as a president and as an officer for the Twin Cities Actuarial Club, is
a current director on the board of Feed My Starving Children, a Minnesota-
based non-profit organization, and has been a delegate for the White House
Conference on Aging.
