HOUSTON, May 22 TX-ExpressJet-Meeting
HOUSTON, May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- ExpressJet held its annual meeting today
in Houston, Texas. During the meeting, ExpressJet's President and Chief
Executive Officer, Jim Ream, provided an overview of 2007 accomplishments and
an update on industry challenges.

"ExpressJet's people have risen to the challenges, and our customers tell
us they really enjoy flying with us. I am very proud of the job our people are
doing." Ream added, "We are providing seamless service to our partners over
1,200 times daily and lead the Department of Transportation in fewest
carrier-caused delays making us one of the most reliable carriers in the
industry."
"We are encouraged by the recent booking pace for summer travel in our
branded flying and trends we are seeing in our short-haul markets," stated
Ream. "At ExpressJet Airlines we measure travel satisfaction in the time we
save our customers by providing non-stop service and we continue to make
progress in reaching new customers," added Ream.
Due to the current economic environment, including skyrocketing fuel costs
and excess capacity in the domestic market, ExpressJet is taking proactive
steps to meet the seasonally challenging fall travel period by decreasing its
summer schedule by approximately 30% effective Aug. 23.
"Our fall schedule reduction is partially offset by adding service in
short-haul routes," Ream said. "We are dedicated to meeting our customers'
needs for service while working to optimize our network in the face of a fuel
price that continues to break records daily."
After the schedule change, ExpressJet Airlines will serve Los
Angeles/Ontario as its busiest city with 21 daily departures and added
connection options, followed by San Diego with 11 daily departures and New
Orleans with 10 daily departures and additional connecting opportunities.
ExpressJet will also continue to provide convenient, time-saving non-stop
service to 20 cities, including Albuquerque, Austin, Boise, Colorado Springs,
El Paso, Fresno, Jacksonville, Kansas City, MO, Long Beach, Monterey,
Raleigh/Durham, Reno, Sacramento, San Antonio, Santa Barbara, Spokane, and
Tucson.
Ream said the fall flight schedule changes will continue through Nov. 15,
2008, but will be reevaluated for the busy, holiday travel season.
"We remain steadfast in our commitment to looking for ways to make travel
more convenient for our customers and to giving our travelers a better
experience when they fly," Ream said.
