Dale Webb, director of the Protocol Centre in Coral Gables, FL, plans to reach the loyal followers of the Blackberry® and the many other models of advanced cell phones out there, by upgrading her Protocol Centre website to offer business etiquette tutorials similar to the ones available in her popular iPhone app, "Etiquette Avenue." The revamped website (www.protocolcentre.com) debuts today with cleaner, modernized visuals; links to join The Protocol Centre on Facebook and Twitter; and easy-to-find features on The Centre's seminars, curriculum and services. One of the highlights is "Protocol to Go," a shopping cart that allows visitors to purchase etiquette curriculum that is designed with the same look and feel as the "Etiquette Avenue" app.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) November 9, 2009 -- Dale Webb, director of The Protocol Centre™ in Coral Gables, Florida, readily admits that not every smartphone user owns an iPhone.

So to reach the loyal followers of the Blackberry® and the many other models of advanced cell phones out there, Webb upgraded The Protocol Centre website to offer business etiquette tutorials similar to the ones available in her popular iPhone app, "Etiquette Avenue."

The revamped website (http://www.protocolcentre.com) debuts today with cleaner, modernized visuals; links to join The Protocol Centre on Facebook and Twitter; and easy-to-find features on The Centre's seminars, curriculum and services. The website was redesigned by Mobius Interactive. According to Webb, one of the highlights is "Protocol to Go," a shopping cart that allows visitors to purchase etiquette curriculum that is designed with the same look and feel as the "Etiquette Avenue" app.

Visitors can purchase Business Skills Package I, II, Business Dining individually for $9.99 each or all three packages for $19.99. With each package, they receive a .pdf format of instructional lessons covering everything from how to deliver to perfect handshake and making appropriate small talk to managing electronic devices in business situations and navigating a table setting.

"The demand and popularity of 'Etiquette Avenue' through the Apple iPhone distribution was very exciting. So much so that I introduced an upgrade on Job Interviewing/Resume skills in September," said Webb. "But some of the feedback included requests from non-iPhone users, so we looked to making our website more e-commerce-friendly. It was time to bring the online face of The Protocol Centre in line with the interactive, portable product."

Introduced in late June, the iPhone app "Etiquette Avenue" reached the Top 20 of downloaded applications under the "Business" category within a week of its debut and has remained in the top tier of most-purchased apps in its genre. Industry and mainstream reviewers also weighed in almost immediately on the app's features and merits.

According to the October 2009 issue of "O" magazine, "If you have only… 5 minutes: Check out the iPhone application Etiquette Avenue for tips on writing thank-you notes, making small talk, and getting along in a foreign country."

Webb hopes to increase her market share of mobile information seekers by tapping the broad network that make up non-iPhone users. Blackberry.com states that more than 21 million people use BlackBerry® smartphones on more than 375 wireless networks in 140 countries around the world.

"Etiquette Avenue," designed by Blue Whale Web Solutions, offers 15 Etiquette Categories, covering a range of business and social protocol challenges. The App can be downloaded for $2.99 at http://www.itunes.com/appstore/.

Like a polished executive, "Etiquette Avenue" pays attention to the details. Jim Morin, a Pulitzer-Prize winning cartoonist, created the whimsical illustrations introducing each category. Gregg Weiss of Blue Whale conceived the illustrations as 'flash cards' that flip to reveal advice.

The Protocol Centre™ (http://www.protocolcentre.com) provides seminars on Business and Dining Etiquette and International Briefings for corporations, educational institutions, government and individuals. Each seminar is designed and customized for the client providing completely up-to-date information on 21st century business etiquette and dining protocols.

Blue Whale Web Solutions (http://www.bluewhalews.com) designed the iPhone and iPod Touch application Gold Price Grabber and Boating Weather.
