ENR Magazine Ranks Big-D Construction Among Largest in Nation

This is the twenty-first consecutive year Big-D has earned a spot in the listing. ENR listed its total revenue for 2008 in excess of $688 million, a 27 percent revenue increase from last year.

In addition to being ranked at #96 in the top 400 contractors (23^rd largest in the western United States), Big-D was also listed as:

• The fifth largest Food Processing contractor in the nation (second largest in the western United States)
• The ninth largest Aerospace contractor
• The 14^th largest Distribution and Warehouse contractor (fourth largest in the western United States)
• The 17^th largest Retail contractor (8^th largest in the western United States)

“While this is a great benchmark of our continued success, it is in large part due to our loyal customer base,” states Rob Moore, president of Big-D Construction. “Over 96 percent of our projects were with repeat customers, and the majority are right here in Utah.”

According to ENR senior editor Gary Tulaez, the ranking places Big-D Construction in the top one-quarter of one percent of contractors in the United States. “This listing represents over 100,000 licensed building and heavy highway contractors throughout the nation and approximately one-quarter of one percent of all licensed contractors,” Tulaez said.
