SINGAPORE and WILMINGTON, Del., March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont Titanium Technologies today announced a price increase for all DuPont(TM) Ti- Pure(R) titanium dioxide grades sold in the Asia Pacific region.
Effective April 1, 2008, or as permitted by contract, prices for all titanium dioxide grades (TiO2) will increase $120 USD per ton in Asia except People's Republic of China and Japan.
Effective April 1, 2008, or as permitted by contract, prices in China will increase by 1.2RMB/kg.
A price increase for Japan was already announced on February 29, 2008.
This increase is in addition to the price increase actions announced previously. Input costs associated with raw materials, energy, fuel and transportation continue to escalate rapidly. The increases implemented to date and those announced here are needed to support the needs of our customers in the growing Asian markets.
