Adds Two Additional Investment Teams; and Appoints New Members of Senior Management Team GREENWICH, Conn., Aug. 7
GREENWICH, Conn., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Duff Capital Advisors LP (DCA)
today announced that two investment teams have joined the Firm bringing the
total number of investment teams to three since DCA launched in March of this
year. The Firm also announced the expansion of senior management with the
addition of Andrew Wilder, Mike Khorrami, Charles Lerner, Laura Flynn and
Maria Berenguer.
The strategies for the two new teams are focused on the utilities and
merchant power sectors, led by Vedula Murti, as well as various sub-sectors of
financial services, led by Morid Kamshad.

allow us to develop both stand alone and blended investment strategies," said

DCA's senior administrative team has significant experience in building
and leading institutional investment management firms in all the key
functional areas. Those that recently joined include:
Andrew Wilder -- Chief Financial Officer
Andrew Wilder joins DCA as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining DCA,
Andrew was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of North
Sound Capital, which he co-founded in 2001. Before the launch of North Sound,
Mr. Wilder headed Operations at C. Blair Asset Management, an equity hedge
fund based in Greenwich, CT. Mr. Wilder began his career at Deloitte and
Touche specializing in audit and financial services in the Cayman Islands and
Toronto. He is a Chartered Accountant (Canada) and holds the CFA designation.
Mike Khorrami -- Managing Director, Investment Manager Sourcing Group
Mr. Khorrami joins DCA from Millennium Advisors, where he was responsible
for business and performance oversight of the firm's credit and fixed income
strategies. Prior to Millennium, Mr. Khorrami was COO of Trading at Brevan
Howard, where he was critical in the development and expansion of the firm
into a multi-asset class, multi-strategy platform. Mr. Khorrami started his
career at JP Morgan in foreign exchange options and hybrid derivatives
trading. He served as the Head of Trading for non-equity products at Tiger
Management, and was a Portfolio Manager at Credit Suisse and Omega Advisors.
Charles Lerner -- Chief Compliance Officer
Also joining DCA as Chief Compliance Officer is Charles Lerner. Mr. Lerner
has more than 30 years experience in compliance and regulatory matters in the
financial service industry. Most recently he was the Chief Compliance Officer
of Dillon Read Capital Management at UBS AG, a hedge fund investment adviser.
He previously was a Managing Director for compliance and fiduciary risk at
Bankers Trust Company, Deutsche Bank and BlackRock Financial Management. His
prior positions were as an attorney and senior counsel in the Division of
Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C. and
Director of ERISA Enforcement within the agency at the U.S. Department of
Labor that regulates private company pension plans.
Laura Flynn -- Managing Director, Client Advisory Group
Laura Flynn joins the DCA team as a Managing Director in the Client
Advisory Group. Ms. Flynn was previously a Vice President at Lehman Brothers
focusing on institutional credit sales. At Lehman Brothers, Ms. Flynn
specialized in selling corporate bonds, hybrid capital, single-name credit
default swaps, CDX products and CDO's. Prior to business school, Ms. Flynn
worked in sports marketing and as an analyst for a boutique investment bank
specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Maria Berenguer -- Managing Director, Global Investment Solutions
Maria Berenguer joins DCA as a Managing Director in the Global Investment
Solutions Group which is focused on providing customized solutions for DCA
clients. Most recently, Ms. Berenguer was the Managing Director of Pension
Solutions at AIG Investments where she developed innovative solutions for
corporate defined benefit pension plans. Prior to this position, she was the
Chief Information Officer of the Enterprise Risk Management unit at AIG. Ms.
Berenguer previously held positions at JP Morgan, Askari Risk Management
Solutions and Dresdner Bank.
