DreamWorks Animation Counsel Katherine Kendrick to Leave Company at End of Year

GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (Nasdaq: DWA) announced today that its General Counsel, Katherine Kendrick, has decided to leave the company when her contract expires at the end of the year. Kendrick will be devoting her time to her ongoing work with a number of philanthropic organizations.

"Kathy has been a key member of our executive team helping to steer the company from the founding of DreamWorks through our IPO and beyond," stated Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chief Executive Officer of DreamWorks Animation. Kendrick currently serves on a number of non-profit boards, including the United States Olympic Foundation, Waterkeeper's Alliance and LA's BEST (Better Educated Students for Tomorrow), as well as on advisory boards, including the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, Kids Play International and Columbia University School of Law's Kernochan Center for Law, Media and the Arts. She previously served on the California State School to Career Advisory Council, as Vice Chair of the Minority Business Opportunity Council of the City of Los Angeles and on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Prior to joining DreamWorks as General Counsel, Kendrick was Vice President-European Legal Affairs for The Walt Disney Company, based in Paris, France. Before moving to Paris, Kendrick served as a Director of Legal Affairs for The Walt Disney Studios, having segued to Disney from the law firm of Latham & Watkins. Kendrick received her J.D. degree from Columbia University Law School and her B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
