BURBANK, Calif. - (Business Wire) DIC Music, LLC, a subsidiary of global brand management company DIC Entertainment (DIC), is launching a new online production music business, www.cuetunes.com. The announcement was made today by Deb Clark, Vice President of Royalty & Music Publishing Administration for DIC.

The new venture will serve as a one-stop, royalty free music source for film and television professionals, independent film producers, instructors and/or students to purchase quality, affordable production music for all premium media productions, including station themes, news and commercial music, animation, live action, home video, webisodes, demo reels, video games, student projects and temp tracks.

DIC owns literally thousands of music cues, and cuetunes.com provides a vehicle to monetize the valuable asset, comments Clark. One of our most important goals is to make the users experience as simple and enjoyable as possible by providing myriad searchable song criteria and user-friendly customer service support through our Preferred Patron Program.

Utilizing a state-of-the-art search and delivery system that leverages Counterpoint Systems MusicSource Online software and is customized according to the specifications of the cuetunes.com staff, users will have an efficient way to search for and select professional music cues by keywords or a broad range of genres, styles and instrumentations at a reasonably priced, one-time fee for both the publishing and master recording rights. Selected music tracks may be managed by project, viewed by associates and purchased in MP3 and/or WAV formats for $21.95 (10 seconds or less) or $39.95 (greater than 10 seconds) per track through PayPal (which accepts bank debit and credit cards MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover). Through the Preferred Patron Program, approved registered users have the option to test-drive (download and evaluate) selected tracks for up to 14 days before buying.

The launch serves as another step in DICs overall new media business strategy and follows the Companys recent announcement of the launch of its first online video channel, www.kewlcartoons.com, dedicated to new and classic cartoons for families and children.

DIC Entertainment, a fully-integrated global brand management company, is dedicated to creating, developing, producing, distributing, marketing and merchandising family-based intellectual properties.

Counterpoint Systems was founded in 1987 and is the leading provider of rights management and royalty processing software solutions for music publishers, record companies, film production and distribution companies as well as the brand and merchandise licensing industries with over 1,500 installations in 42 countries.
