DETROIT, Nov. 6 MI-Detroit-Vet-Parade
DETROIT, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Metropolitan Detroit
Veteran's Coalition is holding their 3rd annual Veterans Day Parade this
Saturday, November 8th at 12 noon. This year's theme is "Honoring Our Nation's
Most Precious Assets - The Men and Women who Serve America in Uniform with
Honor". The Parade Route is Grand Circus Park to Cadillac Square Park with a
brief ceremony to follow.
This year, special guest performers are Lindsay Bloom and Michelle
DellaFave, former members of Dean Martin's Golddiggers and the Dingalings who
also did two tours with the Bob Hope Christmas show in Vietnam. Lindsay Bloom
TV Credits include Mike Hammer, Dukes of Hazzard, Dallas, Vegas, Emergency,
and Starsky and Hutch.
They were re-united after 35 years at the National Convention of the
Vietnam Veterans of America and had so much fun they are now touring as "Blue
Eyed Soul" and doing free concerts for Veterans. They are expected to perform
for the Hospitalized Veterans at the Detroit VA Medical Center while here in
Detroit.
The Detroit Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America is hosting the
event at their building at 2951 Woodward at Temple. If the weather is bad,
