Tuesday, December 9, Datran Media's Chief Revenue Officer Sean O'Neal will
lead a discussion alongside Mike Foley, product manager news, email, RSS
and registration for the New York Times, at the MediaPost Email Insider
Summit in Park City, Utah. The session, titled, "Email as a Publisher
Tool," will educate attendees on what the best methods to monetize
newsletters and communities are and how to formulate the financial models
necessary to support them. The session will be moderated by Dianna
Dilworth, associate editor for DM News.
Also on Tuesday, December 9, Scott Knoll, Datran Media's senior vice
president of display, will present "The Future of BT" in La Quinta, CA at
the iMedia Agency Summit. Co-panelists include BlueKai CEO, Omar Tawakol,
Revenue Science President and CEO, Jeff Hirsch, and ICON International Vice
President and Director of online media, Jim Meskauskas. The panel will
discuss predicted future trends in behavioral targeting and give attendees
insight into what to expect and how it will affect online advertisers and
email marketing. Knoll will particularly focus on what the heads of
research need to know before annual media buys are made and how to leverage
online targeting most effectively post-purchase.
Wednesday, December 10, Datran Media's General Manager of direct, Michael
Bloom will join the CEO of Red Clay Media, Brian Rice, and the owner of
Pinnacle 3 Partners, Alan Kalell, to present "Multi-Channel Convergence"
as part of the Customer Data Insights track at the National Center for
Database Marketing Conference 2008 (NCDM). The event is scheduled for
December 8-10 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL. Bloom is an
expert on both on and offline direct marketing and will help attendees
address challenges ranging from shrinking mailing lists and declining
lifetime value of the consumer. Best practices that Bloom will discuss
include why and where direct mail customers are dropping off lists, how to
use online channels to direct offline sales, how to use intelligently
crafted promotions and multichannel strategies to build profitable
relationships.
Monday, December 15, Datran Media Executive Vice President of strategic
sales and planning, Dave Hendricks, will join peers from eHarmony, Mountain
Sports Media and Digital New York Magazine to host a live Webinar titled,
"Generating Value from your Online Ad Inventory: How Publishers Can Survive
& Thrive in an Ad Recession." In this informative Webinar, Hendricks will
moderate a 50 minute lively discussion focused around how to leverage email
in monetization efforts and how to use audience targeting to increase
value. Grant Hosford, director of publishing ops for eHarmony, Michael
Silberman, general manager for New York Magazine's NYMag.com, and Ben

Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) Online Media Council's meeting on
behavioral targeting in New York City. Marc Nightingale of the ARF will

Knoll, David Grant of Fox Interactive Media and Michael Wexler of Yahoo,
who will engage attendees in over two hours of thought provoking
