NEW YORK, NY -- 12/04/08 -- Datran Media, an industry-leading digital marketing technology company, has announced plans to participate in five key industry events during the month of December, including the iMedia Connection Agency Summit, MediaPost's Email Insider Summit, the National Center for Database Marketing Conference 2008, an exclusive Datran Media produced publishing Webinar featuring New York Magazine and Mountain Sports Media and the Advertising Research Foundation Online Media Council's meeting on behavioral targeting. During the engagements, Datran Media executives will discuss current and future trends that will impact online media strategies for audience measurement and targeting, steps that major publishers are currently taking to generate revenue from their online assets and how convergence will help both offline and online marketers increase the lifetime value of their customer relationships. Datran Media's comprehensive range of executive presentations will each be delivered with a particular emphasis on actions marketers can immediately take to capitalize on their current online advertising investments.

Tuesday, December 9, Datran Media's Chief Revenue Officer Sean O'Neal will lead a discussion alongside Mike Foley, product manager news, email, RSS and registration for the New York Times, at the MediaPost Email Insider Summit in Park City, Utah. The session, titled, "Email as a Publisher Tool," will educate attendees on what the best methods to monetize newsletters and communities are and how to formulate the financial models necessary to support them. The session will be moderated by Dianna Dilworth, associate editor for DM News.

Also on Tuesday, December 9, Scott Knoll, Datran Media's senior vice president of display, will present "The Future of BT" in La Quinta, CA at the iMedia Agency Summit. Co-panelists include BlueKai CEO, Omar Tawakol, Revenue Science President and CEO, Jeff Hirsch, and ICON International Vice President and Director of online media, Jim Meskauskas. The panel will discuss predicted future trends in behavioral targeting and give attendees insight into what to expect and how it will affect online advertisers and email marketing. Knoll will particularly focus on what the heads of research need to know before annual media buys are made and how to leverage online targeting most effectively post-purchase.

Wednesday, December 10, Datran Media's General Manager of direct, Michael Bloom will join the CEO of Red Clay Media, Brian Rice, and the owner of Pinnacle 3 Partners, Alan Kalell, to present "Multi-Channel Convergence" as part of the Customer Data Insights track at the National Center for Database Marketing Conference 2008 (NCDM). The event is scheduled for December 8-10 at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL. Bloom is an expert on both on and offline direct marketing and will help attendees address challenges ranging from shrinking mailing lists and declining lifetime value of the consumer. Best practices that Bloom will discuss include why and where direct mail customers are dropping off lists, how to use online channels to direct offline sales, how to use intelligently crafted promotions and multichannel strategies to build profitable relationships.

Monday, December 15, Datran Media Executive Vice President of strategic sales and planning, Dave Hendricks, will join peers from eHarmony, Mountain Sports Media and Digital New York Magazine to host a live Webinar titled, "Generating Value from your Online Ad Inventory: How Publishers Can Survive & Thrive in an Ad Recession." In this informative Webinar, Hendricks will moderate a 50 minute lively discussion focused around how to leverage email in monetization efforts and how to use audience targeting to increase value. Grant Hosford, director of publishing ops for eHarmony, Michael Silberman, general manager for New York Magazine's NYMag.com, and Ben Rifkin, digital sales manager for Mountain Sports Media, will discuss their ideas and strategies for turning digital content into meaningful revenue.

Thursday, December 18, Datran Media's Knoll will speak again at the Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) Online Media Council's meeting on behavioral targeting in New York City. Marc Nightingale of the ARF will open the meeting. Rex Briggs of Marketing Evolution will then introduce Knoll, David Grant of Fox Interactive Media and Michael Wexler of Yahoo, who will engage attendees in over two hours of thought provoking discussions focused on current and future challenges and opportunities in the online targeting arena.
