CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CSMG
Technologies, Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: CTGI), a technology management
company, announced the company has received approval of its fifth U.S. patent.
The approval is on a key divisional application for "Bonding of Soft
Biological Tissues by Passing High Frequency Electric Current Therethrough"
for CSMG Technologies subsidiary Live Tissue Connects ("LTC") platform tissue
bonding/welding technology. The patent approval follows the issuance of four
other U.S. patents, a European Union patent, in eight European countries,
Ukraine, Canada and Australia with 14 U.S. and international patents pending.
Donald S. Robbins, President and CEO of CSMG Technologies, said, "This key
U.S. patent approval re-enforces our patent portfolio and expands LTC's
commercial possibilities while increasing our shareholder value. Our strong
patent portfolio, and a disruptive technology as well as ISO 13485:2003
certification for the design and manufacture of Bipolar Forceps Systems,
recent US FDA 510(k) clearance and European Union C. E. Mark certification on
LTC's VAD.400 electrosurgery generator and two instruments puts us in an
excellent position of competing in global medical device markets."
"Our LTC team has presented comparative results at conferences with the
LTC bipolar sealing system and shown that LTC's bipolar sealing system has
broad applications. Additionally, in preparation for launching LTC's
commercial product I early 2009, LTC has begun building inventory for both
LTC's electro surgery generator and hand instrument for duct and vessel
sealing, and are in discussions with interested international medical device
companies and distributors," Mr. Robbins added.
