New Beverage Can Plant Planned to Support Strong Customer Demand in Region PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 2
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Crown Holdings, Inc.
(NYSE: CCK) (Crown) (www.crowncork.com), announces that it will construct a
new beverage can plant in Kechnec, in eastern Slovakia.
The new plant, which will be operational in Q4 2009, will have an initial
capacity of 750 million cans a year, and will be designed to support the
addition of further production lines, as future market needs require.
Crown has been present in Eastern Europe for many years. The company
already operates five production plants in Eastern Europe for its food and
closures businesses.
